You’ll learn far more than camera settings. Michelle teaches storytelling: how to see the moment, shape the frame, and create images that carry mood, meaning, and emotion. Light, composition, behaviour, and timing, plus how to stay calm when everything happens fast.

I have been fortunate to have traveled to many exciting places photographing all sorts of incredible scenes of the natural world with Michelle. Whether it be Polar Bears in Northern Canada, or Grizzly Bears in various locales, or birds, or leviathans in the seas, Michelle has the rare fortitude of teaching and explaining while the action is hot! Being able to look at pictures and get good direct feedback on the spot is an invaluable experience! Her focus on having the right equipment and set-up has made all my shoots well prepared for what might come!

The highlights of all my travels have always been the photographic opportunities, but also, along with that comes some of the greatest locations and great food and more importantly great camaraderie! From the moment I met Michelle she offered to help me. I had virtually no idea what I was doing having owned my new camera kit for a few months - literally all the gear & no idea! From that moment on, with Michelle’s kind & gentle help, my anxiety of a new hobby grew into something I love to do now. My husband (who is at a totally different level than me) & I have now done 3 wildlife workshops tours with another 3 booked with Michelle, plus I’ve done her online tutorial too. The workshop I attended with Michelle and Bozeman Camera was top notch. Everything was coordinated like a precise military operation to maximize our time in the field. How does one review the best wildlife photographer in the world? Michelle, who has traveled all 7 continents enriching her viewers' lives with photographs that evoke emotion, majesty and pure joy. She brings the unattainable to us as she often endures hardship, loneliness and great personal sacrifice, to treat us to images of creatures and landscapes we would never have been able to capture even had we been there. Michelle's genius with light magnifies her subjects' like no other. Her inate connectivity with nature is soul-capturing.
