JOIN US FOR AN EPIC PATAGONIA ADVENTURE

Photograph Pumas + Patagonia’s Wild Icons

Join Pro Photographers Michelle Valberg, Jeff Mitchell & Marshall Lewis for an unforgettable small-group workshop in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia - photographing on a private ranch with a tracker.

This is Patagonia in its rawest, most breathtaking form.
Wind-carved mountains. Ice-blue lakes. Golden grasslands. Storm light rolling across the peaks.

And somewhere out there… a puma.

This workshop is built around the extraordinary opportunity to photograph Patagonia’s famous pumas in their natural habitat, while also fully embracing the wider cast of wild characters that make this place so electric.

Because Patagonia doesn’t only give you pumas.

It gives you guanacos on ridgelines, foxes weaving through the grass, condors riding the sky, and those unexpected moments where wildlife and landscape collide into pure magic.

What You’ll Photograph

Yes, we’re going  for the pumas...

But the beauty of Patagonia is that the entire ecosystem becomes your subject.

Expect opportunities to photograph:

  • Pumas (the legendary apex predator of Torres del Paine)

  • Guanacos (endlessly expressive, always alert)

  • Andean foxes (curious, bold, and wildly photogenic)

  • Condors (massive wingspan)

  • Rheas and other birdlife like caracaras (always entertaining)

  • Patagonia landscapes that feel like another planet: with jagged peaks, wild weather, cinematic skies, glacial lakes, and endless open space

It’s wildlife. It’s landscape. It’s story.
This is an expedition where every day delivers something worth photographing.

Who This Workshop Is For

Whether you’re an iPhone user, emerging photographer or a seasoned pro, this adventure is for you if you want to:

  • photograph Patagonia’s wildlife

  • elevate your photography

  • create images with emotion and meaning

  • maximum 4 guests

  • travel with a group that’s passionate, supportive, and FUN

And yes… there will be a lot of laughter.
Because hard days in the wind become legendary when you’re with the right people.

Why Patagonia?

Torres del Paine is one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth.

It’s not polished.
It’s not gentle.
It’s not predictable.

It’s wild.

It's raw

You’ll feel that in your bones when the wind hits your jacket and the mountains glow under broken light. When a fox appears like a little flame in the grass. When condors drift overhead. When guanacos walk the ridges.

And when a puma finally steps into view… everything goes through you and into your heart.

Meet Your Expert Team of Creators

Passionate. Creative. Experienced. Fun.

Step into the wild heart of Patagonia, where the wind whispers through the peaks and the elusive puma rules the land. This immersive photographic journey takes you deep into the rugged beauty of Chile’s Torres del Paine region, one of the best places on Earth to encounter wild pumas in their natural habitat.

Guided by professional wildlife photographers and expert trackers, you’ll learn the art of visual storytelling as you photograph these magnificent cats against dramatic Andean backdrops. Each day is a chance to hone your skills in light, composition, and patience—capturing powerful portraits and quiet moments that reveal the spirit of this untamed land in the winter.

Whether you're seeking rare wildlife encounters, creative growth, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, this workshop is designed to challenge and inspire.

Just when my life of photography was resorting to cell phone point-and-shoot, my vision was enriched through the professional guidance and creative knowledge shared by you all. I broadened my technical skills, enhanced my ability to see, not just look, gathered valuable perspectives from each person in our group and renewed my life-long love of photography.  Thank you Michelle.

Photographing Patagonia with Michelle is next-level. She reads the light, the landscape, and the wildlife with total instinct, and she teaches in a way that instantly elevates your images. I came home with stronger work and an even stronger love for the wild.
