As a Nikon Ambassador and Canadian Geographic Photographer-in-Residence, Michelle Valberg has spent over 40 years capturing powerful stories through her lens. From intimate portraits of pandemic heroes to breathtaking encounters with endangered wildlife, her work reflects both artistry and advocacy. Recently appointed to the Order of Canada, Michelle’s career is distinguished not only by her striking imagery but also by her deep commitment to philanthropy, conservation, and inspiring others to connect with the natural world.
Jeff Mitchell
Jeff Mitchell has been involved in photography for almost 50 years. He currently works for Nikon Inc as a Senior Account manager.
Jeff received his BA in photography from Columbia College and pursued the MFA program at Syracuse University.
Jeff is well versed in sports, wildlife, portrait and landscape photography. He has a passion for helping people capture images in their life to preserve and share special moments.
Proposed Itinerary:
July 14
Arrive in Punta Arenaso
Overnight at hotel
July 15 (B,L,D)
We will be picked up from our Punta Arenas hotel for our drive to Puerto Natales. We will enjoy a beautiful lunch and then drive to the West side of the Torres del Paine National Park. After some exploration, we will head to the Hotel Estancia El Ovejero
July 16, 17, 18 & 19 (B,L,D)
All day in the field puma days on a private ranch
9am start with return around 5pm (winter daylight hours)
July 20 (B,L,D)
A unique day photographing the Gaucho and exploring the park

National Park Lanscape Day

Return to Punta Arenas to enjoy our farewell dinner

This adventure can be physically demanding at times, participants need to be fit and able to hike distances in snow.
