GREAT BEAR RAINFOREST
Most of Northern BC is protected and preserved by provincial parks, sanctuaries and nature reserves. The majestic mountain ranges dominate the northern BC landscapes that were shaped by volcanic fire. The heavily forested valleys that lie between these ranges were once carved by glaciers. There are countless shades of green that blanket the exquisite landscapes. The fauna is abundant – from the sea, the air to the land. The cultures of Canada’s Indigenous peoples are rich from Haida to Tsimschian. This region is ethereal in so many ways.
