Early morning pick up in Prince Rupert by water taxi to meet Afterglow in Hartley Bay.
Days 6-11
We will explore the Great Bear Rainforest and witness stunning imagery of the local wildlife and scenery. We have 2 stand days for the Spirit Bears.
Day 12
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Bella Bella airport for your departure home.

About The Great Bear Rainforest
The Great Bear Rainforest is a world-renowned natural treasure, spanning 6.4 million hectares along British Columbia's northern and central coast. It is the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest remaining on Earth. In this mystical place, ancient trees tower above while lush, green foliage teems with life below. Rivers run through the landscape, teeming with salmon, and the air is alive with the calls of countless bird species.
The Great Bear Rainforest is also home to a variety of wildlife, including grizzly bears, black bears, and the iconic Spirit Bear, a unique subspecies of black bear with white fur. This region is not just a wilderness; it's a vibrant, living entity, a testament to the enduring power of nature.

Jenn and Chris

Meet Jenn and Chris, the dynamic duo at the core of Ocean Light Adventures. Jenn has served in many roles since 1991, including first mate, cook, and guide, ensuring each journey is comfortable and memorable. Off duty, she enjoys kayaking and cycling on deck, while also managing company operations year-round.

Chris, with over 30 years in the charter industry, is a certified master bear guide and marine mammal expert. His meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of BC's diverse wildlife make him an invaluable asset to the team. Recently, Chris led the impressive refit of their newest vessel, the Afterglow I.

While Jenn and Chris are the heart of Ocean Light Adventures, they are backed by a team of experienced guides who may lead your trip. Regardless, you're guaranteed an expertly guided, unforgettable journey through the Great Bear Rainforest.
