Landscapes – “Iceland”

Michelle’s grandparents were born in Iceland and she has visited the island twice.  On this island, fire and ice co-exist and it is a country of sharp contrasts.  Every turn you make, you find contrasting landscapes.  Dark winters are offset by the midnight sun in the summertime.  It is where insular existence has spurred a rich and vibrant culture.  On her last visit, she spoke at the Iceland National League of North America and had the honour of addressing President Guðni T. Jóhannesson.
